SUMMARY
The position of Site engineer involves taking responsibility for the planning, development and management of construction-based projects. Safety and the smooth running of the project are paramount and include supervision of the materials and methods used on site. The site engineer is responsible for the execution of the project and its systems, as well as surveying the site, attending the routine site meetings, liaising with local or national authorities and reporting on progress.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visit the Site with Labour Contractor and Project Manager or alone with LC
- Proper Study of Drawing, BOQ and specification before mobilization at site.
- Mobilization at site with the coordination of Labour contractor & Project Manager.
- Study the requirement of Temporary power and arrange the same.
- Prepare a work schedule with the coordination of Project Manager and Labour contractor
- Prepare Master indent and correlate it with work schedule.
- Prepare the man power estimate with the coordination of Labour contractor
- Prepare the material requirement with the coordination of Labour contractor
- Monitors the acquisition and use of materials by the worker/Labour contractor
- Actively monitor the work environment for hazards. Identify and highlight possible risk on project and ensure that the quality and safety requirements are adhered at site.
- Supervise the Labour contractor’s work progress as per schedule and to ensure that work is being carried out as per design drawings, specifications.
- Ensure the site cleanness on daily basis, the labour has to remove all of the debris and other stuff related to Electrical work on daily basis.
- Prepare and maintain of worker entry in the log book, Enroll the entire worker in ESIC before start the work at site.
- Ensure construction QA/QC processes are being implemented by the site team.
- Report to concern person for any extra work (that is not in our scope of work), take the approval from client’s Project Engineer before execution.
- Responsible for submission of Measurement sheet monthly or as immediate after completion of work, this is compulsory.
- Interact with Client’s Project Engineer/Manager for clarification in design if required.
- Write all of the executed work in your notebook on daily basis
- Daily reporting about progress, non compliance, delay in work to the Project Manager.
- Ensure that Communication regarding any changes in plan have reached the Sub-Contractor’s Representatives after written approval from client.
- Responsible for preparing of all documentation (M. Sheet, RA bill, Extra item approval) required for the project execution.
- Responsible for safe custody of all of the materials at site with proper staggering of material and cleanness of store at site. You will be fully responsible for any shortage / lost /damage of the material at site.
- Responsible for accurately inventorying the materials at site, maintain both inward and outward register and make proper entry. You have to check all material delivered at sites are as per your requirement.
- Report any damage or shortage of materials within 1-2 hours after receiving.
- Responsible for finalization of Final Billing, Measurements Certification, materials reconciliation, approval and certification of extra work bill and shifting the balance materials at store from site
- Responsible for preparation of as built drawing & Hand over documentations etc.
- Responsible for certification of Sub contractor billing/measurements etc.
- Responsible for timely completion of site and final handover shall complete within a week after virtual completion.
