Job Description:

As a Kitchen Assistant at Fana Café in Kharghar, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and culinary offerings. You will work closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to prepare and serve high-quality dishes while maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food safety standards. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling ingredients for various dishes.
2. Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
3. Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, and fryers in a safe and efficient manner.
4. Assist in maintaining inventory levels by monitoring stock and replenishing supplies as needed.
5. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils at all times.
6. Follow food safety regulations and guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of our guests.
7. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and service during peak hours.
8. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies, checking for quality and accuracy.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
2. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
3. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
4. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
5. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 25 pounds).
6. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is desirable.
7. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for food and hospitality.
