We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing and overseeing financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to support the company's growth and financial stability.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including budget variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial forecasting.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform bank and account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring all required documentation and information are provided to auditors.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities, including preparing and filing tax returns.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate financial projections.
- Financial Controls: Establish and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations and implement best practices.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA designation preferred).
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with at least [X] years of experience in accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
