Job description

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team and lead various projects across several teams to help create processes and execute strategies to ensure projects are developed in a timely manner.

Engineering Manager responsibilities include researching and developing new products, building project budgets, and overseeing the successful execution of projects throughout the year.

Tech stack you will get exposure to: Golang, Java, Python, NodeJS, Serverless Technologies (AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions), Kafka.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the product plans and manage delivery commitments.
• Work closely with business, product, and other functions to define product roadmaps.
• Develop strategies for effective data engineering development and long-term architectural planning.
• Has the technical capacity and capability to partner with tech leads and architects in problem-solving.
• Continuously evaluate relevant technologies, influence and drive architecture and design discussions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• 6-10 years of experience in software engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in leading engineering teams.
• Experience with business applications such as JIRA.
• strong experience in Agile software development processes such as Scrum, Kanban.
• Ability to build strong relationships with people and drive them toward a common goal.
• Demonstrated leadership in a cross-functional, highly collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement of systems, software, and processes through data analysis and metrics.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Angular, Python, Node.js, SQL and Kafka.
• Solid understanding of Event First/Microservices/ Serverless Architecture, Schema Evolution.
• Knowledge of modern DevOps tools and techniques.
• Willing to work with Start ups
